MARLA ALLEN WAS RESTLESS. Her nerves were strung too tight to relax. She had been stuck in the boring seminar her company sent her to all day. Perhaps a jog would help burn off some of this pent up energy. She really wanted to go party, but too many of her colleagues were here. That was not the impression she needed to set.

She changed into her running outfit and pulled her hair up in a ponytail. She found her phone’s running playlist, put on her earphones, and headed out.

He knew as soon as he saw her, she would be his next companion. He could already imagine what it would be like to torture her and act out one of his fantasies.

She was a little over five feet tall and wore a Lycra running outfit, which left nothing to the imagination. Her hair was pulled into a ponytail high on her head and her body glistened with sweat. Her skin reminded him of rich caramel, showing him she spent a lot of time outside. If only he could have a taste of her right now, just to see if she tasted as sweet as she looked.

He could not pinpoint exactly what it was that attracted him to her. It’s not as if she oozed sexuality, but there was a sensuality to her. She would be his.

It’d been too long since he brought a woman to his private place. The pain he inflicted on the last one excited him too quickly. He would take more time with the next one.

Need coursed through him as he followed her, keeping at a safe distance. He must wait for the opportune moment. Looking around, barely anyone was out. He was anxious to bring her to his little room. He could just imagine the way she would feel, see the fear in her eyes.

As soon as she rounded the bend into the shadows of the trees, he made his move. When he attacked, she struggled to break free from his firm grasp. He brought the ether-soaked rag to her mouth and clamped down on her, forcing her to breathe in the drug.
